Future Plans

Building on our tree-planting initiative, here’s what’s next.

Feedback and Input: Seek feedback from the community about their experiences and perceptions regarding the tree planting, to help refine future initiatives based on community preferences and needs. Community Events: Organize follow-up workshops, seminars, or community meetings to discuss the progress of the planted trees, share information about environmental conservation, and encourage ongoing participation.
Tree Growth Monitoring: Establish a system for monitoring the growth and health of the planted trees, involving community members and volunteers. Data Collection: Collect data on the survival rates of planted seedlings, challenges faced, and the overall impact on the local environment.
Acknowledgment: Recognize and appreciate the efforts of community members who actively participate in the tree planting initiative, through community events, certificates, or other forms of recognition. Community Stories: Share success stories of individuals or groups who have taken special care of the planted trees or initiated additional environmental actions.
Educational Campaigns: Conduct ongoing educational campaigns to promote sustainable practices beyond tree planting, including waste reduction, water conservation, and energy efficiency. Demonstration Projects: Implement small-scale demonstration projects for sustainable practices to inspire and educate the community.
Coordination: Coordinate with local government authorities to integrate the tree planting initiative into broader community development and environmental sustainability plans. Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policies that support and incentivize community-led environmental initiatives, such as tax incentives for tree planting or recognition programs.
Scaling Up: Following the success of the initial tree planting initiative, we are considering scaling up the project by growing more trees on the nursery beds. Knowledge Sharing: Share our experiences and lessons learned with neighboring communities, encouraging them to undertake similar initiatives and create a ripple effect.

Community Resource Centre

We are aiming to establish a resource center with a library of materials on environmental and sustainable development, to foster knowledge among the community.

There is a building previously used by another CBO that has since ceased to exist, it only requires minor renovations.
